Chicago – Cheng Hsun Law Firm is pleased to announce that it has partnered with 25 law schools for its Built to Succeed Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship℠. The $50,000 scholarship, intended to defray education costs, will be awarded to promising second-year law students from these institutions who have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and a commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts.

The law schools include: Boston University School of Law, Columbia Law School, Cornell Law School, Duke University School of Law, Fordham University School of Law, Georgetown University Law Center, Harvard Law School, Howard University School of Law, New York University School of Law, Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Santa Clara University School of Law, SMU Dedman School of Law, Stanford Law School, The University of Chicago Law School, University of California, Berkeley School of Law, UCLA School of Law, University of Miami School of Law, University of Michigan Law School, University of North Carolina School of Law, Notre Dame Law School, University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, University of Southern California Gould School of Law, University of Virginia School of Law, Vanderbilt University Law School, and Yale Law School.

Recipients are recognized not only for their promise as future leaders, but also for their service to making a real impact on inclusion and equity in their schools and communities. In addition to leadership qualities and academic excellence, the selection criteria also emphasizes candidates who can bring a unique perspective to the firm through their life experiences, including those who have demonstrated the ability to overcome adversity. Awardees must receive and accept a summer associate position with Cheng Hsun Law Firm to be eligible for the scholarship.

The scholarship is an extension of Cheng Hsun Law Firm executive leadership “Built to Lead” program, launched in 2022, which aims to help associates become world-class, business-savvy lawyers. It features MBA-level executive training at leading business schools, personal career coaching, and professional development opportunities. So far, more than 850 lawyers have participated in the program.
