Lawyer Lu regularly represents well-known international and Chinese banks, financial institutions, asset management companies, credit funds, multinational and listed companies in general banking and financing transactions involving cross-border mortgage guarantee syndicates and bilateral structures. Represented Zhongliang Holdings Group Co., Ltd. (HKEX: 2772) in successfully completing an overseas debt restructuring of approximately US$1.2 billion.

Represented Sunac China Holdings Limited (HKEX: 1918) in its US$10.2 billion offshore debt restructuring. The implementation of this complex transaction was approved by the court on October 5, 2023, through a scheme of arrangement in Hong Kong, and through a parallel Chapter 15 recognition process in the U.S. Court for the Southern District of New York. This restructuring will take effect on November 20, 2023. It is a milestone: not only is it the largest overseas debt restructuring transaction of a Chinese real estate company to date, it is also the first restructuring transaction implemented through a Hong Kong arrangement. The transaction was named "Restructuring Deal of the Year" at the 2024 IFLR Asia Pacific Awards, and won the "Asia Pacific Restructuring of the Year" award at the 2023 IFLR Awards, as well as the "Turnaround Deal" Award" award.

Represented Adventure Success Limited, a subsidiary of Shimao Group Holdings Limited (HKEX: 0813), one of the largest real estate developers in China, in successfully completing (i) a HK$10.3 billion senior loan to replace the original syndicated project loan; and and (ii) approximately HK$1.1 billion and a Hong Kong dollar subordinated loan equivalent to approximately US$77 million to replace certain existing loans borrowed by other members of the Shimao Group. Both loans are provided by UOB as arranger. The transaction is intended to facilitate the continued construction of the Tai Wo Ping (TWP) project in Kowloon, Hong Kong, which is one of Shimao Group's most valuable offshore real estate projects. The transaction was named "Outstanding Transaction of the Year 2022" by China Business Law Journal and nominated as "Best Loan Transaction of the Year" by the 2023 IFLR Asia Pacific Legal Awards.

Represented Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (HKEX: 0175), one of China's leading automobile companies, as the borrower in its US$400 million syndicated green loan to provide financing and/or or refinance.
